- The Parish of MilltownI live in the parish of Milltown. The parish of Milltown is divided into a number of villages and and there are about 4,000 people in the parish of Milltown. The old name of this parish was Addergoole but in recent years the name was changed to Milltown.There are three woods in the parish. There is one in Kilclooney, one in Millbrook and one in Dalgin. There is a big hill in the parish called Cnoc an Fhathaigh. There was a giant in that hill long ago and one in Croc Muaidh and they were firing stones at each other. There are two lakes in the parish one in Cloondroon and one in Illaune.There were two great families in this parish namely Kirwans and Bodkins. The Kirwans(continues on next page)
