    to be outside he heard Ussher's gig and he also heard him whistle for Feemy. Thady went down the avenue, and he saw some one stoop and lift something in his arms. He heard a voice which he recognised to be Usshers say "This is nonsense Feemy you know you must go now. These are the last words he uttered.
    Thady was near by then and with the heavy stick he carried he struck him violently on the head. He had partially saved him. Thady again struck him on the bare temple, and he lay as dead as though a thunder bolt from heaven struck him.
    He left the dead body and brought Feemy home in his arms. When Feemy and Thady got to the house, Pat Brady he workman was inside. He brought Brady to the body. They put the body on the gig and Pat Brady conveyed it to Carrick police station.
    In an effort to escape arrest he fled to Augacashel which is a mountain on the Eastern
