- There was a little boy once who had a habit of stealing everything he could lay his hands on from his master. The master came to his father and said that he would have to send his son away to be a real thief. His father did not know what to do but at any rate he sent him away. He did not go far till he met a man who asked him where he was going. The boy told him that he was going to seek a master who would teach him to be a real thief. The man said "You are just the sort of a boy I want". He brought the boy to a big house and told him to rob all the people that were in it. When the man got him inside he went away. The boy did not know what to do. At the end of the kitchen there was an old bullock skin left. He wrapped it around himself and began to make noise. The servant came downstairs and she thought it was a devil that was in the house and ran out. The boy then robbed the place and went out. He went to a wood where there were two robbers counting their money. He started knocking down the trees until he saw the robbers run away and(continues on next page)
