    were coming home very disappointed when they heard sweet music coming from a rock near Irrelagh. They told McCarthy and he built the abbey there. Donal McCarthy finished it in the year 1440 and he dedicated it to the "Blessed Trininty".
    Muckross Abbey is built in a very beautiful place. The purple mountains are towering over it and the lakes below it are below it with all the flowering shrubs all around make it so beautiful that it cannot be equalled and no wonder it is called "Beauties Home".
