    The Blacksmith caught it and put it in his purse. The shilling began jumping in the purse. Then he took it out and beat it with the sledge. The devil said if you let me go I will give you the same terms. before that time was up the Blacksmith died. Then he appeared at the gates of Heaven. St. Peter would not let him in. he told him to go down to hell. When he got there he looked in and shouted, O! where is the fellow that I burned the nose off one morning. Then the devil said do not let him in or he will spoil all the devils in the hall. So he was put back on earth again and withered into a wisp.
