- Story.There is an eel guarding a barrel of gold on the brink of a river, at Lord Fitzgerald's demesne in Turlough. A diver dived and got chains round the barrel, and five horses brought it to the surface of the water, and the chains snapped, the eel was seen wound round the barrel and was never seen or sought for since.Told by: Mr Luke Weever, (71 yrs)
