- The Fairy Fair in Ballincurry
One night the fairies held a fair in Ballincurry. Some fairies were buying and more fairies were selling. They had cows and calves and horses and pigs at it. They were shouting through the village. Any animals that the people had left out in the field were killed by the fairies and J.H.S. written on the animals. Some people had a tub of clothes and water left outside the door, in the morning they were changed into blood. When the cock crew in the morning the people were watching them going away.Told by Mrs. Mary Feely Ballincurry, Curry, Co. Sligo.
