  1. There are five forts in my district namely, Corrigeen na Gabhar, Tondoro's Fort, Tully Fort, Clooneen Fort and the Garoke Rath. Corrigeen na Gabhar is in the townland of Rinnatruffa[?], Tandoro's Fort is in Knockacoppall, Tully Fort is in the townland of Ballycullen, Clooneen Fort is in the townland of Clooneen and Garok[?e Rath is in the townland of Garoke.
    It is said that three forts are always within view of each other, and that saying is true with regard to these forts. The forts were placed in that way by the fairies so that in war-time they could give signals to their friends in the other forts.
