It was autumn Season July '64

    (continued from previous page)
It was in the Autumn Season July '64
When all the neighbours assembled around the shore of Lough Bo.
    Sympathising with sorrow and woe
For the loss of Mike Quinn who was drowned in Lough Bo.
If you were to see his mother that day on the hill
You'd think she'd go frantic her heart's blood would spill.
Saying Michael dearest Michael my one and only son.
It was oft times I cautioned you that cursed lake to shun.
When his honour Mc.Tiernan did hear of the deed
He ordered his servants to saddle his steed
He jumped to the saddle and like lightning did go
And he never drew rein until he came to Lough Bo.
