In my district certain days are looked upon as being lucky and unlucky.
Monday and Wednesday are looked upon as being lucky days to get married but the other days are reckoned as being unlucky.
Mondays are Thursdays are the days on which remedies for ailments are applied such as the cure of the Ring Worm. The straining thread is always applied on Monday and Thursdays as well.
House builders and plough men never start work except on Mondays. People change from one house to another on Mondays or Wednesdays generally because the other days are said to be unlucky.
The Cross day of the year is not known in my district. Certain days of the year are looked upon as being the correct days for planting crops.
    Potatoes should not be planted
