- At the top of Glen there is a townland in which all the inhabitants were named Fox. This townland got its name as Foxes Town. The three brothers were married and lived there. Their three wives met in Drumkeeran one day and they argued among themselves about their husbands. Each one said her own man was the silliest. They agreed to see which of them would to the silliest act.Next morning one woman said to her husband "the priest is in Geevagh as long as he is and we never gave him a present. You should drive out that pig that is out in the barn to him". Off he went with the pig and never stopped untill he arrived with Father Coyle.
