    buried it is called Shaneu. It is a ruined church now. It is said that it was the first church built in the west of Ireland. There are no unused graveyards in this parish.
    Some people come from other parishes and bury in the graveyards in this parish likewise people
    There was an old church in Carraig na Teampaill but there is no trace of it now.
    There is a holy well near this graveyard and it is called St. Jame's Well and there is a pattern held in it on the 25 July.
    Toyogue is the oldest of them all and only two or three families use it now.
    It contains the grave of Saint Clarus O'Melia and also the ruins of his little church.
    There was a church in Kilmactranny but there is no trace of it now.
    It is said that the old church was built by a man named Traney.
    There is an ancient vault at the back of the present protestant church and it belongs to people named Commee.
