    and lace decorated with flowers and ribbons particularly on the parts over the ears.
    A Bonnet made of straw was also worn. It projected to the front something in the same way as the sunbonnet. It was made of black straw and was tied under the chin with ribbons.
    The younger people had no hats or caps and they wore Shawls and in winter or Summer the feet were bare.
    The women wore hoops in their skirts and these hoops were made of cane and when the wearer walked the skirt shuck and wagged about in funny little jerks.
