my place. This continues until we get tired.
During the long winter night I amuse myself, round the fire with the other children. We play cards, tell stories, play school and shopping, and giving round the button. We pass the button in this way. I have a button and I pass it round. The children hold their hands clasped. I go round and pretend I pretend give the button to each one. Then I ask who has it. Each one guesses and when all have guessed I say "Button button show, let all fools know". The one who got it holds it up. All who guessed wrong get three slaps. The one who gets the button has to give it round the next time.
