  2. a cradle bird is used for catching birds and it
    is generally set up during snow. the best birds
    to catch are the thrushes and finches because they
    are the best singers. Four long sally rods are got
    and doubled at the eight ends and are tied
    together at the top. Four other rods about a foot
    and a half in length are got and tied to the free
    ends of the other four rods. The cradle is now in
