  2. There is a gold ring in a fort in Schandlon's field in Knockenaug. It is an old fort that the Danes had there long ago. It is said that if it is dug out that you would get a gold ring all round it. There was a house beside it long ago. It is said not of any one go and dig it or if they did something would happen them.
