    in it, the roof was broken, there was not a room or a bed even. They were sleeping on the floor. He looked in through the window, they were all sound asleep. He looked again more carefully. "My wife is married again", said he, "that is a stranger near my son." "She thought, I suppose that I was dead as I did not come back long ago" he said "I promise", I will kill my wife and himself because she did not trust me. He took an axe and he was on the point of striking the blow when he remember the third advice. He put down the axe and he sat down at his ease. They were all delighted in the morning when they saw him and he was charmed that he did not strike the blow because he was wrong in his conjecture. When they heard he had not a penny in the world, it was equal to them, all they wanted was to have him at home again because the Famine was nearly over. It was only then he remembered
