    Mr. and Mrs. Silas Frog and their only son, whose name was Mr. Ebenezer Frog, sat under a large fern leaf one day. "It comes to this, my son", said Pa Silas severely, "that I can not afford to keep you, you must seek a wife". "And a wife who can cook", said Ma Silas. Young Ebenezer yawned. "I don't want a wife", he drawled. "You lazy one", repled the parents. "Don't you understand we can't afford to keep you and you won't work?" "Well something must be done", raged Pa Silas. "A wife you must get, or out you go and earn enough to keep you". Now Ebenezer hated the idea of being bothered with a wife, but he hated work more. "It will have to be a wife", he said.
