    She went in and she asked for lodgings "yes are you asking for lodgings in any bodies name said the owner. "Yes" said the girl "in the name of the Green Bear of Orange." She got the lodgings.
    When the Green Bear of Orange arrived home he had drops of blood in his shirt, and clots of blood in his hair.
    No amount of combing would get the blood out of his hair. Presently, the witch sent for the strange girl and asked her if she could get the blood out of his hair. "Certainly I can" said the girl "if you allow me spend one twelve hours with the Green Bear of Orange."
    The girl produced her comb, and tried to comb his hair. Immediately the blood was combed out and his hair was perfectly clean again..
    Before allowing the girl to see her husband the witch made sure that he would neither speak to her nor hear her. She gave him a draught which rendered him senseless for the time being. To make sure that
