    It is omitted in this district also to marry in Lent as the old people say.
    "Marry in Lent, You'll come to want".
    In the South of Ireland it is thought very unlucky to marry during the Autumn particularly during harvest time. It is said that those who will do so will fill an early grave. "The sheaf that is bound in the harvest will be loosed in the Spring" or they will always be badly off and full of cares and anxieties.
