    had a daughter who never laughed. The King promised whoever would make her laugh could have her as his wife. The boy happened to pass the palace with the donkey on his back, and the girl saw the funny sight and she began to laugh. The King at once went to see what she laughed at, and he saw the boy with the donkey on his back. The King sent for the boy and called him in. Then the King sent for the boy's mother and when she came the boy met her at the King's gate with the glad news, and he said "Well mother I did the right thing at last."
