    and continue until the same time in the evening. Their work lasted from six to six with an hour off for dinner. In the morning they carried their dinner with them, which generally consisted a bottle of milk and bread and butter. Sometimes when eggs were plentiful they took one or two with them. All through the year they got not holidays with the exception of church holidays and St. Stephens's day. Nowadays the workmen have better food and clothing and they have bicycles to take them to their work.
