    again appeared and on being questioned replied she was grateful for being spoken to. She declared she was not responsible for Darby Riordan's death but that he died of fright and exhaustion. She also said that she acted as midwife when an unmarried mother gave birth to a child in the locality and that to save her from disgrace she failed to her duty and allowed the baby die for which she stated she was subjected to appear as she had done for years. Masses were celebrated and no more has been heard of her Thomas O'Mahony is now proprietor of a thriving business carried on in a house built where she was seen for years. On one occasion or perhaps several when cars were passing she got in and then the horses failed to draw the vehicles. On being praised and besought to leave she did so.
