    farm. The plot was presented to the former Parish Priest Rev. Thomas Lawlor by the late Mr Charles Johnston. Before the school was built on the plot there were two small mud wall cabins at the south West corner close to the road. These were occupied by labourers who worked in Mr Johnston's farm. Their wages were a gallon of milk per day and their food. A small portion of one of the rear walls of these cabins still remain forming part of the boundary fence between the school plot and the adjoining fort called "lios na dtrí gchlaidhe" which is part of Mr Nagle's farm in
