- Peter McAtavy was pulling flax and his mother went down to the bog with a donkey for turf. When she had the creels full the donkey fell into the big hole & she called her son. He caught hold of the donkey & creels & landed them on the bank. Some men asked him how he did it & he answered "You would not think he was so heavy".
- Where Peter Monaghan now lives there lived two old brothers Tom & Pat Connolly. From his 1st tooth fell out Pat kept them in his pockets & until he had them all in it.
- One man came down to the house where Terry Kelly now lives. As he was returning by Drumolat Forth, he heard a lot of voices "Give me a horn". He went up and saw a crowd of fairies & he(continues on next page)
