  2. About the 10th January 1903 there was a big snow storm that lasted three weeks. It was that deep that the people could not walk outside of the door.
    The traffic was blocked for two weeks. It was 29 feet deep in places - there were no trains, no motorists, to be seen in the locality.
    People were almost starved with the hunger,
