Wooden ploughs were used long ago to plough the land. Mr. W mc cullough Tullyvanis Drumacrib has still a wooden plough.
Local people help one another in sowing the potatoes. They help to gather the potatoes the potatoes are moulded and the drills are topped with a graip. They are hoed and the weeds are cut out with a hoe
They spray the potatoes with a spraying machine. Every neighbour helps the other to pick the potatoes, the people gather. They are dug with a potato Digger and they put them into pits: then they cover the pits with mould. Some of them put them in lofts. There are local kinds of potatoes such as Kerrs Pinks, and arran Victors. The last named grows better in our farm The(continues on next page)- Collector
