The people join with one another and help one another to plough with their horses. The potatoes during the summer are moulded and grubbed and the weeds are pulled. Then they are moulded again The corn is rolled and harrowed and the weeds are pulled. The potatoes are picked in bags by the farmer and who ever he is joined with. The potatoes are gathered into pits. In the Winter they are taken into the loft.
There are many names on the potatoes "Kerrs pinks" "Aran Banners" "British Bremiers" "Epicures" "Kerry Blues. The Epicures are the earielst potatoes of the year and the British Primiers are next earielst potatoes. These potatoes all grow well in the district.
