- When children are going to school they have many games which they play during recreation hours. The girls have different games from the boys. The most frequent games played between the school girls of to-day are "Hide and go seek" "Tig" "Blackman" and "Colours." The ones most commonly played between the boys are Hurling, Football Fox and Hounds and Handball. They are all played in different ways. For a game of Tig a group of children gather together and count to a certain number and whoever it falls on will have the tig. That person will follow the rest until she catches someone else and so on. Blackman is played in a similar manner and also Hide and go seek and Colours.
