  1. The farm animals are very useful the cow gives milk and the horse works hard. When the cow is being taken in from the field she is called by "sug", "sug". The horse is called by "sop", "sop". The calf is called by "sucksey". The pig is called by "gosh", "gosh" and sometimes called by "hursh", "hursh". The duck is called by "weech" "weech". The hen is called by "tioc", "tioc". The turkey is called by "pee" "pee". The chicken is called by "birdy", "birdy". The goat is called by "kiddy", "kiddy". The sheep is called by lambie. The cat is called by "pish", "pish". The cow is tied by the neck with a chain when she is in the stable. She is sometimes tied by the horns when she is being taken to the fair. The stable in which the cow is kept is called the cowhouse or byre. The farmers in our district go to the forge to get their horses shod.
