    Colonel Loydd was the name of a Landlord who lived at Ballylech Monaghan about fifty years ago. He was familiarly known in the neighbourhood as Jessie Loydd. He was vert hard on his tenants if the rent when due was not paid at once he had the people evicted from their homes. He was
