- (continued from previous page)to the Castle there is a memorial erected to the memory of Old Dacre. It was at this particular spot that he dropped dead that is why they erected it there. There are ghosts at the castle ever since.
- Colonel Loydd was the name of a Landlord who lived at Ballylech Monaghan about fifty years ago. He was familiarly known in the neighbourhood as Jessie Loydd.
