“One night Peter McKenna came to our house.”
(continued from previous page)of Goland and every night he would go on his ceilide to the surrounding houses.
One night he came to McKenna's on his ceilide in which were assembled a good many youths and they were talking of "Ghost Stories"
One of them told a story containing a good many lies about "Ghosts".
This story was about a Ghost twice as tall as the tallest man being at "Crush lane" and that he would come out on the road about half-nine and ten o'clock.
When Barney heard this you may guess the state he was in and so he maintained that he would not go home for that night but Peter volunteered to go home with him and this he did.
On going by the lane Barney was watching for the man but he couldn't see him.
Further in the road Barney had heard chains rattling one night before this and Peter knew of this.
So he had a belt on him on which there was a large Buckle and he rattled the buckle against the road.
