- My Home DistrictsMy district is the village of Celbridge, in the parish of Celbridge, in the barony of South Salt.The approximate numbr of families in it is eighty with a population of about five hundred people. The most common family names are King, Broe, Farrell and Cummins. The houses in it were made of mud, and thatched consisting of homes of one storey. Owing to new housing schemes they were knocked down and labourers cottages were built in their places.All the houses in my district are slated nowadays. Celbridge in(continues on next page)
