- Killenlea
The name of my district is Killenlea. It is situated about two miles from the village of Celbridge. It is in the parish of Celbridge and in the barony of South Salt.
There are about sixteen families in the townland numbering approximately sixty people.
The commonest family name in the townland is Clowney.
The houses are all slated with the exception of one which is thatched. Formerly the houses were thatched and the walls were made of mud: these have all disappeared now.
