He was tired so he thought he would take a short cut. He had to go over the hill of Dunmurry so as to take the short cut and he had to go through a field at the foot of the hill. He was not far gone when he heard some terrible little voices the same as if there was a [ga] of some sort going on. Then he saw a crowd of little men playing football and he stood looking at them for a long time. Then one of the me came over to him and asked him to help them. He sid that they wee the fairies of Grange and that they were trying to beat the fairies of Dunmurry for the Championship and he said "If you help us I will give you fifty pounds when the match is over". Patrick put on a red suit and the others had a blue suit. Pat kept scoring and knocking down the men at the same time. When the match was over Pat got his fifty pounds and he went home.
