    have seven years of bad luck.
    When a person is going on a journey, if he meets a red-headed woman on the way, he will have ill-luck that whole day. There is an old saying which tells us "Happy the corpse the rain falls on and happy the bride that the sun shines on.
    The ashes should not be thrown out on May day or milk should not be given away on the same day. When taking a pin or a needle from anyone it should be stuck in wood, so as not to "break the friendship."
    If a person comes in on one door of the house and goes out on another door, he is said to bring away the luck of the house. It is unlucky for two or more persons in a group to light their cigarettes or pipes with the
