- There are many things that happen which show sins of the weather. The signs of good weather are: crows circling in the air, the wind blowing from the North in Summer, the swallows flying high in the air. The sign of bad weather are: dust blowing off the road, smoke coming out from the fire, through the kitchen and soot falling from the chimney.
The signs of good weather are: salt getting hard, and smoke going straight out of a chimney.
The signs of a storm are: sheep and goats coming from the hills, the birds returning home, and the sky red round about at the bottom.- Informant
