- Tobar Eilbhe is the name of a well near our house. We do not know for sure how this well got its name, but this is one story concerning it. One time when there was a man getting ready to go to a ancient fair of Castleplunkett, his daughter wanted to go with him but he told her he could not allow her to as she had to mind the birds from some oats which he had previously sown. His daughter was very dissappointed and gathered all the birds and put them into a barn. When she had this done she followed her father to the fair.
