  1. Part of Castleplunkett is a turloch. The turloch covers about eighty acres. It is covered with water in winter, but in the summer it is a level green plain. Sports and races were sometimes held here and a grand place it is for the likes. The owner now, not not give leave to use it for sport, and will not allow boys to kick football there. There is another smaller turloch beside Castleplunkett turloch, called Turlock Gorm and it belongs to Miltown. a very old wall divides the two turlochs. This wall is
