    The red and white cows are called roan cows. Cows without any horns are called maol cows.
    In some places the people get the priest to pray for the cows and in other places the people hang up Saint Bridgids cross made of rushes in the cowhouse.
    The principal diseases from which cows suffer are, Consumption, Milk Fever, Murn, Trasluke, Black Leg and Timber Tongue.
