    To cure burn. Apply dock leaf immediately.
    To cure deep cut or festering. Apply hot bread and water.
    To cure bad stomach. Drink fresh butter milk and eat Indian meals.
    To cure cuts. An herb called " Long Plantin" to be found in gardens. The herb must be chopped put on a cloth and put around the cut.
    Rheumatism. Celery taken raw frequently is good for rheumatism.
    Mumps Gladum or sometimes called "flagers" found in marshy places sewn on red flannen and put around the neck is good for mumps.
    Stye. Bathe the eye in cold tea- leaves every morning.
    To cure earache. Roast a white turnip cut a slice and put it to the ear
    To cure corn. A bit of raw beef put on the corn for nine mornings.
    To cure sore throat. Roast a potato put it in a silk stocking with salt and tie around neck.
