- Once a drunken man when passing an old rath, heard music and saw some fairies dancing to it. He stopped and listened for a while. Then he said to the fairies, "Play a hornpipe and I will beat you all in dancing". The fairies played it for him and he kept dancing until half past two the next morning. He went home, and went to bed, but when he arose, he was out of breath and could not stand. He then turned into a dwarf and died after an hour.
