- (continued from previous page)told that there was an ancient Castle on the creat of Ballingarry hill and there was a cave running from it to Mannan Castle that you could drive a coach and four horses through.
- There was a hedge school situated between Essexford and Drumlusty and the man who taught in it was a man by the name of Henry Bryne. He taught the older generation and made many good scholars and some of the relics of his art are yet at hand such as sun-dials.
