    least an hour to churn milk right. It is done by hand. When it is done by hand the dash is worked always upwards and downwards. When the butter is made it comes to the top of the milk. Warm water is poured in because it helps to bring on the butter. The butter is lifted out of the churn with a strainer. Then cold water is poured on the butter.
    Then salt is put into the butter to make it tasty. Butter-milk is used for making bread and drinking. When the people come in and you churning, they way "good luck to the work".
