  2. In Ireland long ago candles were made in each house for use in the house. There was a small vessel with three legs called a “cam”. Many of these are to be found in the district, and our teacher has one in school.
    Tallow was bought and melted in the cam, it was then poured into a mould like a round pencil case split in two A rush was then got and the outer green covering was stripped off. Then the inside white stuff
