  1. The name of my native village is Cully. It derived its name from a wood that grew in it long ago.
    It is in the parish of Curry in the Barony of Leyny and in the County of Sligo.
    There are thirty-five houses in it and a population is 153, 50% of the houses is thatched three roomed one storey, and the other houses are all slated.
    There are three ruined houses in it the owners who have either died or emigrated to another country.
    There are a good many old people in Cully some who are fluent
    Irish speakers and their names are as follows.
