It is tied with rushes and stuck in the thatch,Some person of the household makes it.It is made of ash,It is made in honour of St Brigid, At Christmas small branches of holly with berries on them are put in the windows and hung in the kitchen in honour of Our Lord. On Palms Sunday blessed palm is hung over the Sacred Heart pictures.People wear it in their hats and caps. On St Patrick's Day shamrock and a harp are worn. Straw mats used be made but on no certain day, Straw is used for thatching..There is a well in Rearymore called St Fenian's Well.People have been cured of warts(continues on next page)
