“A Cock once up on a branch of a tree. ...”
A cock once up on a branch of a tree.
A fox came to the front of a tree.
"Come down here" said the fox " until I play with you."
"I won't go down" said the cock, "because if I went down you'd ate me",
"I won't "said the fox " because there is an agreement between me and the huntsmen that they won't kill me if I do not kill any more fowl"
"If you were up here" said the cock "You'd see the hounds and the huntsmen coming.
"Tis time for me to be going so" said the fox.- Informant
