    was about 600 years old. Miss Roe in Maryborough got it sent down to Rathdowney. All the people that saw it were very interested in it. It might have been left there when people were escaping from the castles around here.

    There was a man around here. He lived in Errill. He found a spear in Errill bog. He sold it to the Museum in Dublin. He got three pound ten for it. It was supposed to be in the bog for nearly three thousand years. It was made of Bronze.
